DIAMONDHEAD: A DYNAMIC COMMUNITY WITH A FLEXIBLE LIFESTYLE
Frustrated by city traffic, noise, pollution and other struggles associated with living in any metropolitan area? Bring your dreams and vision for your future and let the people of Diamondhead welcome you to a more vibrant way of life. Although we’re just twelve short miles southeast of Hot Springs, Arkansas and about 45 minutes from the Little Rock Airport, you can “get away from it all.” Some have chosen to permanently relocate, and some steal away for the weekend or a vacation home, but there is something for everybody.
The Diamondhead Community, located on picturesque Lake Catherine, is a 2300 acre gated community well outside the generally traveled areas of the city, but still only a brief scenic drive to Hot Springs or Malvern hospitals, schools, shopping malls, restaurants, super markets and other amenities necessary to make life comfortable, convenient and complete.
Recreational opportunities abound in the area in the midst of Garvan Gardens, a nationally-acclaimed botanical site, Magic Springs/Crystal Falls, a full-scale amusement park and swimming facility, the historic downtown Hot Springs with famous natural hot springs bubbling from the ground, renowned architecture, art galleries, bath houses, lush National Forest Service land complete with hiking and picnic areas and much more.
Would you enjoy coming home to a PGA sanctioned 18-hole golf course, a 220,000-gallon Olympic-size swimming pool, and a new country club including 19th Hole facility with a grill, dining rooms, meeting rooms, and a lounge? If that’s not enough, residents also enjoy a fully stocked Golf Shop, tennis courts, boat launching ramps, police protection, and a convenience store located just outside the gate for those last minute items.
Diamondhead Community Church has recently moved into its new facilities, at the intersection of Highways 171 and 290 and churches of other denominations are in nearby Malvern and Hot Springs. Above all, you will enjoy the fellowship offered by people in Diamondhead, and fortunate enough to enjoy your new friends and neighbors. (Your old friends will all want to visit!)
It’s fun to observe the wildlife in our area, including fox, rabbit, deer, and a tremendous variety of wild birds (rather than the traditional city sparrow and starling). You can take a walk any time of day, knowing the hazard of city traffic is no problem. “Get away from it all” with a visit to Diamondhead. No matter what your preference, once you experience a round of golf, lounge by the pool, play tennis, take a walk (or run if you’d rather), enjoy swimming and/or a boat-ride on Lake Catherine, we invite you to join us and experience our comfortable lifestyle for yourself and you’ll understand the “warm feeling" beyond what our words can convey.
